Your Secrets Might Be Killing You

You don’t need to tell me what they are.  We all have secrets.

But in your case, those secrets could be killing you.

Here’s why.

There is mounting evidence that many people don’t have a good self-image.  And the evidence links that low self-image with many illnesses.

What causes the low opinion you have of yourself?  Perhaps it is rejection by one of your parents — or both.  Possibly you had a bad experience at school that has helped you form a low opinion of yourself.  Maybe it’s an issue at work, or even your kids.  Whatever it is, you’ve come away from one or more particular experiences with a view of yourself that is not healthy.

Now there is mounting evidence that major illnesses such as cancer or diabetes have a very clear link to emotions and the way people respond to stressful situations.  The cure of those illnesses can often occur by having the patient resolve the emotional conflict in their lives. And health can be restored.

Many health clinic patients are emotionally disturbed.  Some from childhood.  Others have issues develop as they go through life as adults.  It’s an important part of the treatment protocol that the causes of disease are dealt with, and not just the symptoms.

Those buried thoughts and secrets might be the very thing that you need to deal with now . . . before major illness manifests itself.

So take some time to resolve those thoughts and secrets that might very well be killing you.  We’ll have more on this in  a future posting, with specific steps you can take to heal the past.
